2.5 Collect information about famous historical figures from your country
Benito Pablo Juárez García was born on March 21th, 1806 and died on July 18th 1872. He was a Mexican lawyer and politician of Zapotec origin from Oaxaca. He also served as the president of Mexico for five terms. He resisted the French occupation of Mexico, restored the Republic, and used liberal measures to modernize the country.
His parents were Marcelino Juárez and Brígida García, they both died of diabetes when he was three years old. Then, his grandparents died as well, and his uncle raised him.
